Black students have historically been at the helm of social transformation. We prioritize their actualization by providing the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive—because their brilliance shapes the future.

OUR IMPACT
Building Infrastructure for Liberation. Investing in the Next Generation. At Sub:Culture Inc., we believe that freedom is not an individual pursuit—it is a collective reality we build together. Our work centers flagship initiatives that ensure students of color have the support, resources, and leadership development they need to thrive beyond systemic barriers. From college access to leadership cultivation, mental health support, and mutual aid, we create pathways for success, well-being, and transformation.

1
COLLEGE ACCESS & STUDENT SUCCESS
Thrive & Excel prepares students of color for both college entrance and first-year success. Through our partnership with Adams Admissions Counseling, students receive test prep, application fee support, and guidance on financial aid. Once in college, they gain access to coaching, academic and personal development resources, peer networks, and mental health support through our initiatives. Excel students are also invited to apply for the Sub:Culture Fellows Program, creating a pathway for continued leadership development throughout college.
2
SOULFUL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Sub:Culture Fellows is a four-year leadership development program designed for students of color who want to lead with integrity, resilience, and imagination. Rooted in the Soulful Leadership theory developed through our founder's doctoral dissertation. The program provides a transformative curriculum that integrates mentorship, skills training, and personal growth. Fellows receive guidance from movement leaders, therapists, strategists, and scholars who are committed to their holistic well-being, academic success, and social flourishing.
